AITC Welcomes New Chief Financial Officer, Ivette DeJesus

AITC is proud to announce the appointment of Ivette DeJesus as the new Chief Financial Officer, based in our headquarters office located in Winter Springs, Florida.

With an impressive background in finance and accounting, DeJesus brings over six years of experience from her tenure at C4 Advanced Tactical Systems.  She holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance & Accounting from the Florida Institute of Technology, further solidifying her expertise in the field.

In her new role at AITC, DeJesus will oversee the finance unit, playing a crucial role in budget management, cost-benefit analysis, forecasting needs, and securing new funding. Her responsibilities are pivotal in driving strategic and tactical financial decisions that align with AITC’s growth and innovation objectives.

AITC Welcomes Respected Industry Experts to Senior Team

AITC continues to evolve and expand as businesses and government agencies face challenges in finding qualified professionals to support their information technology (IT) needs. Veteran-owned AITC has added three respected industry experts to their senior team to help the company meet this growing demand.

Craig Ravenell joins AITC as a Program Manager to lead the planning and implementation and introduction of new systems and technologies in support of AITC’s military customers.  Primarily he will focus on meeting project commitments and client communications to ensure customer’s mission success.  A retired U.S. Army Acquisition Officer (Colonel), his extensive experience includes managing cost schedule and performance goals for complex defense acquisition programs (i.e. chemical and biological defense equipment, ballistic missile defense systems, modeling, simulation and training technologies, etc.).  Mr. Ravenell is the former product manager for the Digitized Training Program Office at PEO-STRI in Orlando, Florida, where he was responsible for modernizing Army Digitized Ranges to deliver more effective and realistic training.  Mr. Ravenell earned a B.S. in Business Administration from Voorhees College and an M.S. in General Administration from Central Michigan University.

Edward “Ed” Petrow also joins AITC as a Program Manager to lead teams in the delivery of state-of-the-art IT, audio visual, and related end-to-end systems and solutions.  Building upon six years of military service in the United States Navy, Mr. Petrow is recognized as a highly successful senior level program manager and engineer with extensive experience in systems and project engineering, engineering management, agile methodologies, hardware and software engineering, and program management.  Mr. Petrow excels at collaborating with team members and stakeholders to perform analysis and design of complex systems and sub-systems.  AITC will leverage his professional experience as a leader with the academic credentials and technical background required to interact with clients while leading development teams to deliver mission critical systems. Mr. Petrow has held prior positions with respected industry leaders such as AVT Simulation, SAIC/Leidos, and Universal Systems and Technology/Lockheed Martin.  Mr. Petrow is a graduate of St. Leo University with a B.S in Computer Engineering and Colorado Technical University with a Masters of Business Administration in Finance and Technical Management.  He is also certified in CMMI® and PMP.

Robert “Bob” Faber joins AITC as a Senior Infrastructure Architect Project Manager to lead the design and implementation of complex information Technology infrastructure to support AITC’s customers’ growing requirements.  In this capacity, he will analyze system requirements and develop architecture solutions to ensure that designed systems offer required capabilities, performance and security.   Mr. Faber will work with customer’s senior management and technical personnel to identify and address technology gaps, strategic goals and business imperatives impacted by infrastructure technology.  Mr. Faber brings AITC more than 30 years of extensive expertise acquired in the fields of structured cabling systems design, implementation, sales, project management, technical instruction, cabling infrastructure design and installation.  Mr. Faber is a graduate of Southern Connecticut State University with a B.S. in Economics.  He is a member of BICSI, a professional association supporting the advancement of the information and communications technology (ICT) community and he holds a Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification and Network Technology Systems Designer credentials.

Making headlines in the first quarter of 2017, AITC President and CEO, Gabriel Ruiz LTC (Ret.), was named the 2017 Small Business Person for the North Florida District.  The news was announced by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) North Florida District Office, which includes the top 43 counties of Florida covering Pensacola to Orlando and Jacksonville.

“Congratulations to LTC Ruiz on this recognition for his hard-work and dedication. This award is very competitive and our office received nominations from all over the northern part of the state. I look forward to presenting this award in May as we celebrate Small Business Week,” says Wilfredo J. Gonzalez, SBA District Director.

The North Florida District Office will present its business and lender recognition awards during the 2017 Small Business Week Celebration hosted by the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at the University of North Florida on May 4, 2017 in Jacksonville, Florida.   Ruiz will be honored at a private event hosted by the SBDC at the University of Central Florida (UCF), on May 16, 2017 at the Citrus Club in Orlando, Florida. 

“It is truly an honor to receive such a prestigious award.  I have appreciated the support that I have received through the mentoring and advisory support from the SBDC at UCF, which has encouraged me as I have grown AITC to achieve greater success.  I am truly grateful and honored to receive the award and represent the North District,” Says Ruiz.

Every year since 1963, the president of the United States has issued a proclamation calling for the celebration of National Small Business Week.  National Small Business Week is set as the first week in May, and this year its April 30 – May 6, with national events planned in Washington, D.C., New York City, Indianapolis, Dallas and Fresno, California.

AITC President & CEO, Gabriel Ruiz, LTC, USA (Ret.) has been selected as one of the Orlando Business Journal’s 2016 Veterans of Influence Award honorees.  Ruiz is among 25 distinguished community leaders to be honored at the awards luncheon event on Friday, September 30th at the Hilton, Orlando.

Veterans from every branch of service, and from every business sector, will be recognized during the Veterans of Influence Award luncheon event that will feature pre-recorded interviews, where honorees discuss their military service and how it aided their civilian-life success.

Honorees for the award were selected by an independent panel organized by the OBJ as having had the most dramatic impact on the community this past year.

What makes this group unique from other Orlando Business Journal events is that each of the honorees are Veterans who have served this great country as a member of the U.S. Armed Services.

Ruiz and the other honorees will be profiled by Orlando Business Journal on Friday, September 30th either online or in print.
